After years of infertility, Colin and Christina became pregnant with their first child C.J. Tragically, at 20 weeks gestation C.J. was stillborn. With local doctors unable to provide answers as to why this happened, they sought the expertise of placental pathologist Dr. Kliman at Yale. He provided invaluable information regarding what happened to their son. This information gave them peace and knowledge, ultimately leading them to their living son Aiden.
Christina is a registered nurse with a Masters in Nursing Education and Colin owns a business, providing business valuations. They currently reside in Buffalo with their two dogs and living son.
Supporting others through some of their most challenging moments is a role with which Barbara is deeply familiar. In her work as a clinical psychologist, Barbara has counseled clients through grief and loss in many forms, though her involvement with Grief in Progress is unique due to her personal connections to the Size family.
Barbara and Christina first met in 2ndgrade, and the two have been fortunate enough to become the closest of friends over the course of 30 years. She has shared in the celebration of countless milestones- both large and small- throughout the duration of Colin and Christina’s relationship, and was bestowed with the honor of being C.J.’s godmother.
